When Crystal Renn closed Jean Paul Gaultier’s prêt-à-porter Spring 2006 show in Paris, her curvy figure and the gorgeous spring gown she wore were feted around the world.
The first and last model positions in a show lineup are considered to be the most prestigious for a model, and agents often reject show bookings if their most prized girls are not guaranteed either of those places. Crystal’s appearance in the final position therefore takes her appearance in the show to a greater level of significance.
