STEADFAST

Post image for STEADFAST

Readers may recall the uproar around knitwear designer Mark Fast’s use of larger models when showing his S/S 2010 collection during London Fashion Week.  As a continuation of his belief that his fashion can be worn by fuller-bodied women, Fast’s advertising campaign/lookbook for the Faster extension line presented two different-sized models in the same clothes.

While it may be that we notice the models because their faces are familiar to us, seeing the same clothes on each of them allows us to properly bridge the gap between fashion aspiration and clothing reality.
