This made me sooo mad! As a plus size woman, size 22, who shops at Lane Bryant and the like, I was infuriated. How many times did we see Victoria’s Secret fashion show on network television with lumps and bumps jiggling procariously in tiny cups? I love this commercial and how it shows big can be beautiful, sexy and attractive too. Unfortunately, there are not enough examples like this of a healthy but plus size woman. It took me to grow up and find a man who loves me regardless of what size I am to find the confidence to say I’m beautiful. I certainly didn’t see it at home or in ads. I don’t think this commercial breeds obesity like some say. She looks healthy and beautiful, not overweight. She is toned and fit and obviously takes care of herself. This whole fiasco is a darn shame.
she has the most amazing body, love the way she looks. i actually prefer her over crystal renn, she is much more the type of beauty i am drawn to. i like the ad, maybe it’s the fact that it portrayed a plus size women as a sexual being that is offending everybody?
Bravo Ashley! As a man, I am sick and tired of the anorexic skeletons pushed on us, and by the media idiocy in claiming in that “they are what men like”. Buuullllllsh*t! Touching skin on bones ain’t my idea of fun at all. At 40, my wife has a round belly, and round bottom (mmmmm… delicious!) thus making me the happiest man on Earth.
I have seen MUCH more risque ads on TV. This woman is absolutely gorgeous and has a spectacular figure. I’m smaller than her and totally envious. I’d rather look like that rather than a sickly lollipop.
GAWD! If only I knew it wasn’t so I would say “They must be kidding right?” – except of course they aren’t. Infuriating and nothing more than size discrimination.
