Okay, so I am the queen of corny song title post headings LOL Don’t judge.
Essence‘s issue of May 2010 features many images of larger models, the most eye-catching being this downtown NYC editorial featuring Anansa Sims and her mom, Beverly Johnson. Some of you more ‘life experienced’ readers might have heard of her? Apart from the mother/daughter angle, I am a big fan of mixing up ages in editorials. It shows that editors are paying attention to their readers and not showing fashion exclusively on teenagers…because (fluctuating dress sizes, notwithstanding) noone can be 16 again.
