Readers may recall the hype and furore (the usual type) over the Calvin Klein campaign featuring Myla DalBesio in the “Perfectly Fit” campaign in 2014. Was it really two years ago already? The company has chosen a relatively new face for the 2016 cycle of the campaign, and whooee, what a face. She’s been in the US for a year but I’m sure her agency is still not finished doing their happy dance at signing her.
This casting is about about corporate size diversity. Let’s be clear: Calvin Klein uses high profile models/celebrities in the smallest size set for all of its product lines, whether underwear or perfume or denim, etc etc. CK doesn’t sell ‘plus size’ lingerie per se; the bra worn below tops out at 38DD, and the pants at L (12-14), so it is somewhat illogical to complain that the larger model chosen for these ads is not ‘big enough’ to be called plus size. She’s not asked to be plus size, just ‘bigger’.

This 25 year old Danish model might be new to you but is not new to modelling; and yes, she’s right on the right side of that tenuous size-appropriate line of whether she gets included on this website…for now. As plus-size customers will start seeing her face more frequently (Violeta, Eloquii, etc etc) I figured I’d give you an introduction and let things take their course.
