Elena Miro launched its Fall/Winter 2010 line (as usual) during the first show scheduled of the Milano Moda Donna fashion week on February 24, 2010. Rich jewel tones in silk and taffeta, metallic wool and laser-cut suiting, buttery-soft leather boots, devore velvets and recurring motifs in accessories evoke an Orientalist/1940s feeling.

Marina Rinaldi’s MR Giorno collection for Spring 2010 has been launched, arriving in northern hemisphere stores very soon if not already there…a bit hard to imagine wearing floaty dresses while the snow keeps falling!

Sorry, couldn’t resist an art pun in the title Elena Mirò are keeping up a fairly high advertising output despite the financial times; all the better to keep us looking snappy in sizzling neon and jewel tones during the long harsh winter – well, those of us in the northern hemisphere at least!

Elena Mirò enlisted photographers Attilio Capra, Andrew Dunn, Andrea Gandini, and Agnes Spaak to shoot their lookbook of Fall Winter 2008 covering a variety of locations and styles. I’m personally a big fan of surrounding a model with handsome men!
